In addition, cost is also a factor, as point of care screening is cheaper than laboratory drug testing. However, it is important to understand that a non-negative drug screen result, should always be confirmed using a laboratory test. The cost of random drug testing in London depends on the service required, and the number of candidates at the same appointment. While some of our London clinics can be used for random drug testing, normally our collection officers will visit your location and perform testing onsite.

Random point of care drug screening can be as little as £50 per person, depending on the number of employees. Although laboratory drug testing is more expensive, similar multi-person discounts are also available.

Additional charges apply for laboratory confirmation testing from point of care non-negative screens. However, point of care screening is still more cost effective, as the number of non-negative results is normally relatively low. In addition, as previously stated, there is no charge for performing alcohol testing in combination with a random drug test.

What about random alcohol testing?

We offer alcohol testing in combination with random drug testing at no extra charge.

Depending on your needs and availability, we can offer the following options:

• Breath alcohol testing, using a Home Office approved breathalyser. We can work to client defined cut-off levels, whether that be current drink drive levels, or industry specific standards.
• Point of care saliva alcohol testing. Used in conjunction with either point of care, or laboratory saliva drug testing. Usually performed when a breath alcohol test is not available.
• Urine laboratory alcohol testing. We can analyse for alcohol markers in the same urine sample that is to be tested in the laboratory. Again, this is normally used when a breath alcohol test is not available.
